Portfolio of Poppy and other floral Paintings by Linda Calvert Jacobson
Why poppies? While they may not be native to Texas, they often thrive and add joyful color to the landscape. As you may know, poppies are often associated with remembering those who served and died during battle. They have a long history of symbolism, ranging from sleep and peace to resurrection. But in addition to (or in spite of) all of that history and interpretation, they are just so pretty! Linda has enjoyed painting this series and looks forward to each painting finding the right home!
